  • Choosing the right approach to write your dissertation can make all the difference. There are a number of different methods that you can use to write a dissertation. Some people like to write one chapter at a time, while others prefer to start with big ideas and move on. Regardless of how you write your dissertation, remember to make it simple and jargon-free.     Dissertation Writing Camps – Several writing camps are offered by the UW-Madison Graduate School and the Writing Center. These are highly competitive, but the number of participants is limited. The camps are led by senior Writing Center staff. These camps provide focused writing time with multiple opportunities to get feedback. In addition to these programs, you can also find a book on writing a dissertation. While these are more expensive, they will give you valuable advice and help you make your dissertation as perfect as possible.
