Protest Music For The New Millennium - and Earth Day

FLORIDA, DANIA BEACH, Apr. 2 -/E-Wire/-- With Earth Day fast approaching, it's time to start thinking about where we'll be celebrating this year, and what we'll be doing once we're there.   Protest music has always been an important element of the environmental movement in general, and Earth Day in particular.  Dr. Tom Hansen recently produced a free CD called "UFO Oil" calling attention to the urgent need for disclosure of classified technologies involving "zero point energy" and propulsion devices reverse-engineered from the wreckage of extraterrestrial spacecraft such as the one recovered by the US Air Force at Roswell, New Mexico (among others).

    As explained in a previous EcoLynx press release (http://enn.com/direct/display-release.asp?id=5694), these technologies, if disclosed and used for peaceful purposes, would definitively end the looming oil crisis, not to mention the global warming, pollution-induced illness, acid rain, oil spills, habitat destruction and geo-political tensions currently associated with the use fossil fuels. EcoLynx implores everyone to find out more and to join The Disclosure Project, a  grassroots political movement to get this technology declassified.ÂÂ

    The Disclosure Project is a non-profit group of more than 400 fighter pilots, airline pilots, air traffic controllers, senior-level FAA officials, military intelligence officers, nuclear missile launch commanders, astronauts, aerospace engineers and the like, all of whom have publicly stated they are prepared to testify under oath before Congress regarding their first hand encounters with positively identified extraterrestrial spacecraft and ET beings, both living and dead.   Hearings may be held on this issue pending Congressional review of a completed dossier of affidavits by Disclosure Project witnesses.  Attorney Daniel Sheehan, who prosecuted the Kerr McGee nuclear facility in the case of Silkwood vs. Kerr McGee, and defended the New York Times in the Pentagon Papers case, will serve as Chief Counsel for The Disclosure Project.  Bona fide witnesses can be assured of expert legal counsel should they decide to come forward.

    The UFO Oil CD is intended to call attention to the UFO issue and the environmental ramifications of disclosure. Dr. Hansen has authorized free copying of the songs for noncommercial use.

    This issue is as complex as it is vital to success in the struggle to create a sustainable global economy, and as such it unfortunately escapes a simple "sound bite" explanation.  But what it really boils down to, as Dr. Hansen observes in his Green Machine, is one simple question:

Tom Hansen - meet the musician:

    Tom Hansen began playing guitar and singing when he was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Africa in the mid 1960s.  Since then he has continued to write songs and sing about whatever moves him. He has lived in the Midwest, Hawaii, New England, and Virginia. His acoustic folksongs reflect those parts of the country. Besides guitar, Tom plays banjo and Native American flute. He has performed at festivals, fundraisers, regional and international conferences, schools, churches, and in commercial venues. He is a member of ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers).

    In the 1980s Tom founded the Peace Exchange Foundation, which organized several citizen peace exchanges between the U.S. and the Soviet Union. In the 1990s he was a non-governmental participant in several United Nations environmental and sustainable development conferences, including the Earth Summit in Brazil.

    Tom has an MA in Mathematics Education from Columbia University and a PhD in Higher Education Administration from the University of Iowa.  His day jobs for 30 years were as a mathematics educator, researcher, and author.  He has written mathematics materials for several major educational publishers. He left the mathematics education field in 1997 in order to spend full time on music.
