DynaMotive Extends Industry Lead with Completion of Next Generation Pyrolysis System

CANADA, Apr. 9 -/E-Wire/-- DynaMotive Energy Systems Corporation (OTCBB: DYMTF) announced today that it successfully completed testing and commissioning of its next generation pyrolysis system "BioTherm lll". The system uses low cost components and materials and is designed to continuously process low grade feedstock such as wood bark and forest residue with high wax content.

"With the introduction of this next generation system, we are further extending our lead in this emerging technology. Being able to handle low grade feedstock for the production of BioOil creates significant opportunities for DynaMotive," said Andrew Kingston, DynaMotive's President and Chief Executive Officer.

The BioTherm lll features a modified fuel separation system that allows us to consistently produce high quality BioOil products from a wide range of lower grade feed materials. We have now confirmed the cost of operating under a variety of operating conditions. This advance gives us a significant technological and cost advantage.

The BioTherm lll reflects DynaMotive’s technical leadership and is built on extensive bench scale and pilot scale testing. During the past four years, over 4000 hours of operation in our plants have been accumulated. Data and experience gained from the operation of the BioTherm l and BioTherm ll is incorporated in the BioTherm lll system. DynaMotive's technological leadership is both confirmed and protected by its intellectual property position.

"The architecture of the BioTherm lll system incorporates low-cost materials, provides high performance, utilizes volume-manufacturing processes and forms the foundation for high volume manufacturing of BioOil production systems," said Warren Johnson, DynaMotive's Chief Technology Officer. "The common architecture will allow economies of scale across the DynaMotive product portfolio."

DynaMotive is an energy systems company that is focused on the development of innovative energy solutions based on its patented pyrolysis system. Through the application of its technology and know how, the Company intends to tap into abundant organic resources that are generally discarded by the agricultural and forest industries at a cost, and economically convert them into a renewable and environmentally friendly fuel. Examples include forestry residues such as wood and bark and agricultural residues such as sugar cane bagasse. The Company has successfully converted each of these residues into BioOil and char making them a renewable and environmentally friendly oil and char reserve that is available worldwide.
