ESP to Sponsor Workshop on Greenhouse Gas Information Management

CALIFORNIA, MOUNTAIN VIEW, Apr. 17 -/E-Wire/-- ESP (Environmental Software Providers), the leading provider of enterprise software solutions for environmental management and emissions portfolio management, will sponsor a one-day workshop entitled "Greenhouse Gas Information Management," to be held in San Francisco on May 22. The workshop will provide a background on greenhouse gas issues and help attendees understand the logical first steps to be taken today in order to be properly positioned as greenhouse gas regulation unfolds.

A common first step for many companies is to perform a greenhouse gas inventory in order to understand their carbon position. The workshop will present typical inventory methods and the protocols commonly used. Companies working with ESP on an information management system called Greenhouse Gas Suite will participate in the workshop, during which initial designs and developments will be discussed. Attendees will have the opportunity to see how an information management system for greenhouse gases might look within an enterprise.

The Greenhouse Gas Information Management Workshop, which is open to all interested participants, is being held as part of ESP's Spring User Group Meeting. Greenhouse Gas Workshop attendees are also welcome to participate in the User Group Meeting, at which ESP customers and implementing consultants will present on issues related to environmental information and portfolio management. Many of these existing technologies will be applied to the Greenhouse Gas Suite solution.
