Napier Environmental Technologies Inc.: Record Sales for April

CANADA, May. 7 -/E-Wire/-- Napier Environmental Technologies Inc. (TSE:NIR) is very pleased to report that sales for the month of April hit a new record monthly high of over $1.2 million and was more than 50% higher than April 2001. Sales for the Company's industrial RemovAll(TM) products and retail Bio-Wash(TM) products have both recorded significant increases, with total sales for the month being split approximately equally betweenthe product lines. Based on this breakdown of sales by product line, management estimates that profit margins for the month are in excess of 40%, the combination of which will translate to Napier's first month of operating profit for 2002.

In addition to the above positive results, and as previously announced, the highlights of the Company's first quarter to March 31 include higher sales, improved margins and significantly lower operating costs. All of these developments point towards dramatically improved financial results for 2002.
