Holben Building Corporation President Questions Construction of Golf Course Toilet Structures On the Crest of Suburban Denver's Mount Carbon, Interrupting 360-Degree View

COLORADO, LAKEWOOD, May. 28 -/E-Wire/Business Wire/-- Steve Holben, president of Denver's Holben Building Corporation (HBC) and Lakewood resident, has caused city officials to review placement of golf course toilets currently being installed at the summit of Mt. Carbon. The mountain is located in southwest Metro Denver at Bear Creek dam. The northeast side of the mountain is the future home of the Homestead at Fox Hollow Golf Course. The toilet buildings are part of that project.

Details of Holben's one-man initiative to relocate the toilets from the top of Mt. Carbon to a less obtrusive location can be read in the May 23 Lakewood Sentinel article by LeRoy Standish: http://www.jeffconews.com/n2140yd.html

"As a cyclist, runner and nature walker, I simply enjoy Mt. Carbon's wonderful 360-degree view of Denver and the Rocky Mountains. And further, as a home builder who often sites structures, I've been shocked that toilet buildings are located directly on top of the mountain," explains Holben.

"I know I've been dramatic and passionate in my communication style concerning the relocation, but I feel strongly about preserving the beautiful view. My wife and I enjoy taking a picnic atop Mt. Carbon to relax and enjoy the scenery," Holben explains.

"The 360-degree view is simply wonderful, and I believe everyone's needs can be met through cooperation. I plan to be at the June 10th Lakewood City Council meeting to share photos of the 360-degree view with my elected officials," Holben says.

HBC, one of the most enduring custom home builders in the Denver area, celebrates its 25th year in business this year. Holben was profiled in the May 2002 issue of Entrepreneur. Here's the link to it: www.entrepreneur.com/article/0,4621,299063,00.html

A Denver native, Holben is a graduate of the University of Denver. He has been an active real estate broker since 1974, a Denver "A" contractor since 1978 and is a member of the Home Builders Association of Metro Denver.

HBC is located at 2765 S. Colorado Blvd., Suite 102. He can be reached at [REDACTED-PHONE], office; [REDACTED-PHONE], home; or by e-mail, [REDACTED-EMAIL]. Background information about HBC can be found at www.online-presskit.com
