NEW YORK, NEW YORK, Jun. 11 -/E-Wire/-- AT&T; has received two outstanding media production awards for the AT&T; ErgoWise Web-based ergonomics training course. Earlier this year, the training program was awarded a Gold Award in the category of Multimedia by the Multimedia Communications Association International, New Jersey Chapter.
In the AT&T; Web-based ergonomics course, animated characters guide employees through standing and stretching exercises, office redesigns and other activities aimed at improving the comfort and safety of the work environment. ErgoWise provides AT&T; employees information on ergonomically preferable practices via text, still photos and video clips.
"Training is an important element of AT&T;'s overall ergonomics program. We see no reason why training can't be fun and interesting to look at while being informative at the same time," said Lynn Alpaugh, ergonomics program manager in AT&T;'s Environment, Health & Safety organization.
The ErgoWise program was developed by the AT&T; Environment, Health & Safety organization in partnership with AT&T; Health Affairs and AT&T; Labs. It is available in VHS, CD-ROM and Web-based formats.
