Xechem Forms Xechem Pharmaceuticals Nigeria Ltd.

NEW JERSEY, NEW BRUNSWICK, Jul. 1 -/E-Wire/-- Xechem International, Inc. (OTC BB: ZKEM) announced today that it has formed Xechem Pharmaceuticals Nigeria Limited, under the Companies and Allied Matters Act (1992), of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Through Xechem Pharmaceuticals Nigeria, Xechem will manufacture, market and distribute a number of pharmaceuticals and prescription nutraceuticals originating from the African Continent. This will place Xechem in a unique position to take full advantage of Nigeria's well-known biodiversity, which is expected to yield many new important drugs and other nutraceuticals in the near future.

According to Xechem's President and CEO, Dr. Ramesh C. Pandey, "Xechem now has positioned itself to take advantage of the rich biodiversity of Nigeria and the African continent to identify long held secrets of nature's natural product pharmaceuticals, and to make these products available throughout the world for treating a variety of diseases and maladies."

Xechem International, Inc., headquartered in New Brunswick, NJ, with subsidiary companies in the USA, India, Nigeria and joint venture partners in both Hong Kong and the Peoples Republic of China, is a biopharmaceutical company of which Xechem, Inc.
