FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Electric & Gas Technology, Inc. ('ELGT') Issues Update on Important Activities for Its ATMOSPHERIC WATER TECHNOLOGY, INC. Subsidiary ('AWT')

TEXAS, DALLAS, Jul. 11 -/E-Wire/-- Electric & Gas Technology, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: ELGT - News; "ELGT") reported a summary of recent sales and pending proposals on its U.S. Patented WATERMAKER(TM) products which produces healthy, purified drinking water from the "atmospheric air we breathe".

ELGT calls its product the "infinite fountain of water" which produces anywhere from 5 gallons, 50 gallons, 650 gallons, 1,000 gallons, 10,000 gallons, 40,000 gallons per day or from 20 liters on up to 160,000 liters per day and more if required.

Dan Zimmerman, President of Atmospheric Water Technology, Inc. stated that "at any moment in time there exists approximately 250 trillion gallons (1000 trillion liters of water) in the form of water vapor continuously recycling in an area of 0 to 10 miles above the earth, all generated from evaporation of the oceans, rivers, lakes and plants."

ELGT has shipped 50 gallons per day WATERMAKER(TM) to Saudi Arabia, and 50 gallons per day and several 5 gallons per day WATERMAKER(TM) to Egypt, plus two 50 gallons per day mobile WATERMAKER(TM) units to United Arab Emirates and has just received an order for a 50 gallon per day unit for Israel. In addition our Miami, Florida distributor has ordered 100 of our 5 gallon units. Approximately $350,000 of such WATERMAKERs(TM) have been initially sold by AWT.

Such units produce approx. 200 liters of purified drinking water and serve as actual demonstration units for the distributor that has been appointed by our corporation in order to attract sales to customers such as hotels, hospitals, schools, industrial buildings, military and communities.

AWT has submitted proposals outstanding to install systems of 40,000 gallons per day (150,000 liters per day) that when installed with a special automated bottling system can produce 100,000 1.5 liter bottles per day for area citizens. Such proposals have been submitted through our appointed distributors and representatives in Egypt, Cambodia, Morocco, Israel, Sudan, Malaysia, and other areas. Such proposals have not yet developed into sales; however, serious negotiations are in process.

The only power required for operation of these WATERMAKER(TM) is electricity which, based on typical 10 cents per kilowatt hour, can produce water at 6 cents per liter, or 23 cents per gallon. For example: a 2 liter bottle at the average supermarket sells for more than $1.25 which compares to a 2 liter bottle produced by our WATERMAKER(TM) systems at 18 cents including the plastic bottle.

ELGT has also appointed a distributor and representative in Miami and San Diego with requests from Central and South America.

Zimmerman emphasized that the WATERMAKER(TM) are designed to operate year round where temperature is at least 50 degrees F. (10 C) and humidity of at least 25% which continuously exists in an area of approx. 2200 miles above and below the Equator. Such a 4400 mile band around the Earth has 2/3 of the world's population.

In addition the United Nations has advised that more than 1.6 billion people in such areas are suffering from either contaminated water or severe shortages of water.

AWT is presently in the process of executing an agreement with a New York International marketing group known as Water Technologies L.L.C. for an exclusive license agreement specializing in establishing international sales and sub licenses of AWT's U.S. Patented and copyrighted technology relating primarily to Nations in sub Sahara Africa that purchase U.S. manufactured products and receive funds from the "Offset" financing programs available through such U.S. Corporations that sell them products, most sales of which are defense oriented. In addition they will market products to Evangelical groups in these Nations.

AWT has also executed a marketing contract with a prominent international attorney and advisor, Mr. Richard A. Zeif, who has long term experience in dealing with many Nations in Africa and Asia and which governments will be contacted to consider supplying such urgently needed purified drinking water.

ELGT operates three subsidiaries located in Toronto, Canada, and Dallas, Texas and reported sales of approximately $11 million for 2001 and reflected losses primarily due to the heavy development costs associated with the WATERMAKER(TM) Mfg. Subsidiary.

The Hydel subsidiary in Toronto has been continuously profitable and the Reynolds Equipment Co. Subsidiary continues to be profitable.

Management of ELGT believes that the market for the WATERMAKER(TM) products is in the hundreds of millions of dollars and almost $3 million has been invested and expended by ELGT previously and now has excellent product availability to become an important supplier of such unique atmospheric water generating systems.
