FEI Receives Award of Excellence in the 14th Annual APEX 2002

COLORADO, DENVER, Jul. 12 -/E-Wire/-- Freberg Environmental, Inc. (FEI) a Denver-based managing general agent received an award for publication excellence. FEI's carrier security handbook, Recognizing & Managing Carrier Security: A Handbook for Hazardous Material Transporters won the Award of Excellence in the 14th annual APEX 2002 Awards for Publication Excellence. This years APEX competition attracted over 5,900 entries from around the world. Awards are given in specific publication categories and FEI's handbook received recognition in the One of a Kind Publication -- Crisis and Emergency Communications category. Judges deemed FEI's handbook as "exceptional ... in graphic design, editorial content and the ability to achieve overall communications excellence."

The APEX Awards are presented each year recognizing excellence in publication work by professional communicators.

FEI prepared Recognizing & Managing Carrier Security: A Handbook for Hazardous Material Transporters for their policyholders to provide current and relevant information regarding the need to recognize existing hazardous transportation exposures from a new security perspective. The handbook is a compilation of examples from experts in the field of transportation and governmental entities that deal with the trucking industry. Each handbook includes a CD-ROM that contains an electronic version of the handbook to allow users to distribute to all members of the organization. It also contains important forms that the policyholder can use in managing their operation.

FEI writes a broad array of environmental insurance coverages including their Hazardous Material and Hazardous Waste Hauling program on Gulf Insurance Company (A.M. Best Rating A++ XV) paper.
