-- NEWS ADVISORY -- TO BUSINESS, ENVIRONMENTAL AND MEDICAL EDITORS:

South Carolina's Research Universities Host Conference on the Links Between the Environment and Health

SOUTH CAROLINA, COLUMBIA, Mar. 1 -/E-Wire/-- What: A two day conference entitled "Dispelling the Fear & Discovering the Truth: Linking the Environment & Health."

Why: Chemicals contaminating our ground water, asbestos invading our lungs, and lead poisoning our children while they play. Now, we need to be prepared to communicate effectively with patients, students, and colleagues about risks and causation. Are we ready? The conference is designed to bring together practitioners from both health and environmental professions, in order to establish communication networks, share knowledge, and identify areas for future work. Technology and tools to assist practitioners will be demonstrated both in a conference session and through exhibits.
