ESP Announces Development of Incident Management Software
CALIFORNIA, MOUNTAIN VIEW, Jul. 30 -/E-Wire/-- ESP, the California-based enterprise environmental management software provider, has announced that it will be adding an incident management module to its world-class opsEnvironmental software suite for environmental data management. The incident tracking module provides an integrated approach to tracking environmental incidents from initial reporting to investigation and closure of follow-up actions.
"Environmental incidents require rapid and thorough response, and having powerful data management capabilities is a key component to effective incident management," said Alex Long, ESP President. "We are pleased to be able to provide companies with the ability to track and manage incidents in their entirety."
Among the features to be included in the new software are the ability to generate automatic e-mail notifications to relevant internal and external parties, as well as the ability to generate incident management reports for internal or agency use. Incident release data can also be rolled up into emissions summary reports. The software allows the tracking of detailed information about the incident, participants, material(s) released, costs, and any follow-up actions. It can be used as a stand-alone application or linked with any of the other applications in the opsEnvironmental suite.
The launching of the new incident tracking software will continue a long- standing ESP tradition of employing extensive customer input in determining the direction of its software development. The application was developed in close consultation with existing ESP software users, who wanted to extend the capabilities of their opsEnvironmental software to include incident management. The new module will be available as part of opsEnvironmental version 6.0, scheduled to be released in December, 2002.
The opsEnvironmental software suite is widely employed throughout the chemical, petrochemical, aerospace/defense, and power industries for managing air, water and waste emissions data. For more information about opsEnvironmental or the incident tracking application, please call 650-968- 9000.
ESP provides enterprise software solutions for integrated environmental and compliance management and for management of emissions allowance portfolios.
