Pacific Sands Gives Operations and Marketing Update; Looks Forward
CALIFORNIA, CLOVIS, Mar. 2 -/E-Wire/-- Pacific Sands (OTCBB: PFSD) is pleased to give several updates on its operations and marketing efforts for the Eco One line of environmentally friendly products from the month of February.
Eco One Marketing Strategy Television Campaign: The first Eco One television commercial began its test run regionally in central California Monday. The 30 second spot will air 300 or more times on this initial buy. Response has been surprisingly enthusiastic and Eco One sales have picked up accordingly in the region.
Eco One Internet Campaign: We've recently negotiated the purchase of 40,000 banner ads and a "Featured Product Page" on a popular environmental website. The pacificsandsinc.com website will be converted to an e-commerce site by March 31 to support that program and others in development.
Eco One Sales Force: A multiphase plan has been initiated to facilitate the national distribution of the Eco One product including distributorships and customer referral programs. We currently have a West Coast representative introducing the product to wholesalers and retailers in California and are exploring options for establishing distribution centers in New England, Midwest, South, Southwest and Pacific Northwest.
International Distribution and Re-labeling: We are in talks with a number of international distributors interested in marketing Eco One and other Pacific Sands products. We are also considering the alternative of allowing another company to privately label the Eco One products for distribution overseas. Efforts are underway by our representatives to study the procedures necessary to sell Eco One in other countries with regard to label content and government approval.
Hurriflo: We're pleased to announce that the Hurriflo Wastewater Treatment beta system has been found to work as expected under normal operational parameters. The system is now undergoing tests for the next step in its development, which will include the ability to handle dramatic spikes in water pollutants without operational interruption.
In light of these developments, Pacific Sands Inc. is confident that it will achieve operational profitability within calendar year 2001.
