International Fuel Technology & Southwest Research Institute Co-Author Paper for International Symposium on Alcohol Fuels

MISSOURI, ST. LOUIS, Sep. 19 -/E-Wire/-- International Fuel Technology Inc. (OTC BB: IFUE), the developer of a series of fuel additives and fuel blends designed to increase fuel economy and reduce harmful emissions, announces that it will present a technical paper on certain ethanol/diesel fuel blends enhanced with IFT additive technology. The paper will be presented at the International Symposium on Alcohol Fuels held in Phuket, Thailand November 12-15, 2002.

The technical paper will be the second IFT paper co-authored by E. Robert Fanick, a Senior Research Scientist in the Department of Emissions Research for Southwest Research Institute, and Ian Williamson, Chief Technology Officer for IFT and inventor of IFT's fuel additive formulations and resulting fuel blends. Previously, Fanick and Williamson co-authored a technical paper relating to a different series of IFT fuel blends which was presented at a Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) conference in Reno, NV in May, 2002. SAE Paper #2002-01-1702.

Jonathan R. Burst, President and CEO of IFT, stated "we are excited to present the merits of our technology at a forum with such an international audience. We believe the use of ethanol blended fuels will continue to grow worldwide, due to its ability to reduce CO2 emissions. These emission reductions will undoubtedly impact the strategies that countries will employ to adapt to international greenhouse gas reduction policies."
