FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
A Global Survey of Stakeholders on the Year 2020
NEW YORK, NEW YORK, Sep. 24 -/E-Wire/-- The first Global Stakeholders Panel (GSP) survey is fully underway. The GSP is a global survey of people working through their organizations and networks for a better world. The survey involves a full range of stakeholders from civil society, business, and government, with an emphasis on voices from the South. The questions focus on the challenges of getting to the world we want, using a benchmark year of 2020 as a point of reference.
If you have not already completed this survey, please visit the following website address (or simply click on the link below) to participate in the first survey:
http://www.globescan.com/surveys/gsp
The results of each survey will be communicated to as many people as possible, reporting how each sector and each segment of society views globalization and governance. The findings will be freely available to all multi-lateral organizations, national governments, NGOs, businesses, and academic organizations, as well as any individual interested in the process of globalization and capacity building.
The experience and outcomes of the second Earth Summit in Johannesburg clearly indicate that sustained dialogue between interested citizens and key NGO, government, and private sector representatives is essential in order to advance possibilities for effective global governance, capacity building, and steps toward sustainable development.
The GSP survey provides an unprecedented opportunity for people working in the NGO, public, and private sectors, along with individual citizens, to voice their views, opinions, and concerns on these important matters, in a global forum.
Please visit the above web address to ensure that your views are well-represented in this unique research. In return for your participation, you will be sent a web address where you can view and freely download the results of this important research.
The first survey is available in French, English, Portuguese, and Spanish, with Arabic coming soon. It will close on October 31st, 2002.
