Rose Bowl Conserves Water by "Flushing" Flush Urinals

More Than 1 Million Gallons of Water Saved by Sport Venue's Use of Water-Free

CALIFORNIA, PASADENA, Nov. 21 -/E-Wire/Business Wire/-- As UCLA prepares to take the field in its annual grudge match against cross-town rival USC, city of Pasadena and Rose Bowl Stadium officials announced a victory in the on-going battle to save water. By installing Falcon water-free urinals in all Rose Bowl public men's restrooms, and with more than 650,000 uses by the public, the city of Pasadena will conserve more than 1 million gallons of water when estimating the water saved during five UCLA home football games and five Los Angeles Galaxy home soccer games this season.

Four months ago, in August 2002, Pasadena Department of Water and Power personnel removed 28 older, trough-type urinals and replaced them with 259 Falcon Waterfree Technologies urinals. These new, state-of-the-art water-free urinals conserve water and represent an environmentally friendly, odor-free alternative to traditional trough-type urinals.
