FTI Becomes Agent to Reduce Mercury in our Environment

CANADA, ONTARIO, TORONTO, Feb. 26 -/E-Wire/-- FTI Foodtech International Inc. announces the signing of a sales agency agreement with Bio Sym Medical Corporation of Coquitlam, B.C. for the exclusive Canadian sales rights for their Merc II amalgam separator system (ISO11143 Certified). In addition, an initial purchase order has been received for the supply of the Merc II amalgam separator system from Ash Temple, of Toronto, Ontario. Ash Temple, Canada's largest dental supply distributor, will have the exclusive sales and marketing rights into the dental industry.

Amalgam separator systems are being legislated in many Canadian towns, citiesand provinces. All dental offices would be required to use a system to keep the mercury out of public water systems.

The dental clinic's cost of the system is $1299, plus installation. The units must be replaced at least once a year, depending on the dental clinic's size. It is estimated that over 600 units will be put inplace each year for the next 5 years. Replacement unit sales will therefore increase along with each year's increase in initial new system installations.

The Merc II's 3 stage filtration effectively removes 95.2% of all mercury leaving the dental office. It is estimated by some water authorities that up to 80% of all mercury in water entering treatment plants is from dental amalgam. The Merc II system is a cost effective way to keep mercury out of our environment.
