GEMI Announces Final Program For 'GEMI 2001: An Odyssey to Environmental Excellence'
WASHINGTON, DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, Mar. 7 -/E-Wire/-- The Global Environmental Management Initiative (GEMI) today announced the final program for its annual conference entitled, "GEMI 2001: An Odyssey to Environmental Excellence." More than 200 corporate, governmental and NGO leaders are expected to participate in the two-day conference featuring globally recognized speakers and panelists. The conference will take place at the Renaissance Harborplace Hotel in Baltimore, MD on March 19-20, 2001.

"Workshop presenters include several GEMI member companies -- 3M, Anheuser- Busch Companies, ConAgra Foods, The DuPont Company, Georgia Power, Johnson Controls, Johnson&Johnson;, Koch Industries, Olin Corporation, and The Procter & Gamble Company -- as well as non-GEMI organizations such as, the World Resources Institute and the U.S. Geological Survey," he added.
GEMI's Chair Rich Guimond, Vice President EH&S;, Motorola, Inc., stated, "In addition to this remarkable program, attendees of the conference will also receive copies of GEMI's newest guidance document that focuses on the many ways companies can work with their suppliers and contractors to provide top- and bottom-line value while also improving the environment."
