EARTH (Canada) Corporation Announces Management Changes

CANADA, QUEBEC, MONTREAL, Apr. 8 -/E-Wire/-- Environmental Applied Research Technology House - EARTH (Canada) Corporation (TSX-V: EAR), a leader in hydrocarbon remediation technology, is pleased to announce that Mr. Alain Ferland has been appointed as Acting President and CEO of the Corporation. Mr. Ferland brings a wealth of experience in the oil industry, and in the past was the President of Ultramar Limited Canada, one of the largest oil companies in Canada, and Vice President of Ultramar Diamond Shamrock in the USA. Mr. Edward Akkawi has retired from day to day operations and assumes the position as the Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Mr. Edward Akkawi reflects: "EARTH is at a milestone in its life and development; with the recent investments and the obvious and renewed confidence of our shareholders new & existing, it is important that we make use of all the talents in the Corporation. Mr. Ferland has certainly desire, interest, experience and knowledge to help us focus on the right opportunities and to bring us there." Adding, "I will personally concentrate on my role of Chairman, in insuring the smoothest transition and I will concentrate on some projects where I see value and that would support Mr. Ferland's initiatives"
