Imaging the World in the Year 2020

CANADA, ONTARIO, TORONTO, May. 15 -/E-Wire/-- The 2020 Fund at the King Baudouin Foundation in collaboration with Environics International Ltd. announces the launch of the second Global Stakeholder Panel (GSP) survey. This international research initiative aims to promote global dialogue on globalization, governance, and capacity building through a series of surveys directed at leaders in the public, private, and NGO sectors, from all geographies.

In this second survey, leaders from each sector are asked to identify and rate priorities, policy, and action steps that are the most important to them in order to achieve their ideal vision of the world, using the year 2020 as a benchmark point of reference.

Views can be heard and included in this global initiative by completing the second survey at:

Results will be communicated to all national governments and to multilateral agencies in order to help influence critical international negotiations on global governance, globalization, and capacity building. Results will be made freely available to all to facilitate on-going communication on these important issues and to promote equal access to information.

Similar to the first GSP survey, this research is designed to encourage a great variety of global leaders to join in this transparent and iterative process, to provide quantitative inputs to the world-wide discourse on globalization issues. The surveys will be available in Arabic, English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese.

Among our current collaborators in the GSP, who have agreed to distribute GSP surveys throughout their networks, include Synergos, CONGO, Business for Social Responsibility, Forum EMPRESA, International Federation of Journalists, LEAD, Human Rights Internet, ICFTU, IULA, CIVICUS, ICCR, ASHOKA, HURINET and WFUNA, and the World Economic Forum.
