Michael L. Hanson, PhD Joins TSCI

Will Manage Business Development and Client Relationships for the Energy Industry

HOUSTON, TEXAS, Dec. 5 -/E-Wire/-- Dr. Hanson, with over 25 years of environmental experience in government and industry, has directed multi-media and environmental systems audits, site investigations, remediation, and compliance management programs at active and inactive petroleum and petrochemical facilities throughout the U.S. states, Puerto Rico and Norway.

He has extensive experience in compliance and management systems auditing and development of environmental management systems. Dr. Hanson is a RAB Certified Environmental Management System Auditor, a Board Member of the Oklahoma Energy Resources Board, the American Petroleum Institute Health, Environment and Safety Operating Committee and the API HES Program Coordinating Committee.

Dr. Hanson most recently spent 25 years with Phillips Petroleum (Conoco-Phillips) where he managed a staff of professionals providing expert environmental interpretation and technical guidance to world-wide business units. He was also responsible for tracking new/developing environmental trends and represented company interests on industry association committees regarding legislative and regulatory developments

Dr. Hanson received a BA from Grinnell College in Iowa and his PhD from the University of Hawaii for the study of oil degradation in the marine environment. He is active in several industry associations and professional environmental organizations.
