EARTH Signs Milestone Contract with Ultramar

CANADA, QUEBEC, MONTREAL, Mar. 19 -/E-Wire/-- EARTH (Canada) Corporation (CDNX: EAR) is pleased to announce the company has been awarded a contract to supply Ultramar Canada, a division of Ultramar Diamond Shamrock (NYSE: UDS), with a TORRÃ solution for remediation of oily water contained in its remote bulk storage tank terminals.

Remote storage tanks are commonplace throughout the world and are found in harbors, airports, industrial sites, and storage depots for oil companies. Oil in water is formed when condensation occurs within the storage tanks due to the difference in temperature between the inside of the tank and outside environment. The condensation degrades the quality of the petroleum product. Normally, depending on the type of installation, the oily water must be separately collected in another tank, transported to a distant dehydration facility if available, and then treated to separate the oil from water. Not only is this process cumbersome and a hazard to the environment, but is also not cost-effective.

EARTH's Total Oil Remediation & Removal (TORRÃ) System can treat the oily water "locally" where oil can be recovered & placed back into the storage tanks for reuse, but more importantly, the water can be discharged back into the natural environment safely and within governmental regulations.
