THE MYSTERIOUS RECEDING SEAS
Our Oceans are receding over millions of years; Richard Guy puts forward convincing proof
Sea levels have Been falling for millions of years: Richard Guy takes us on an interesting journey back into ancient history to show how sea levels have influenced the growth of civilization.
TUCSON, ARIZONA, Mar. 29 -/E-Wire/-- Are our oceans receding? Richard Guy says, "yes" in his latest book " THE MYSTERIOUS RECEDING SEAS" and puts forward conclusive proof. Not since Rachel Carson's bestsellers have I read such a controversial and enlightening slant on the oceans.
Guy, a Structural Engineer, has built Docks, Harbors, Airports and Highways on lands deserted by the sea. "We all know", he says, "that the entire North American continent was once covered with Ocean". Where have they gone? Guy tells us convincingly.

So how is it that we fail to notice this mysterious recession of the seas? Guy states" We simply don't have the time. The recession is a slow process and hardly noticeable in the average lifetime.
Guy takes us back into history to show what sea levels were then. He astounds us with facts and evidence about sea levels in ancient Rome Mesopotamia and the Mediterranean in general.
He concludes, and not without substantial evidence, that all ancient civilizations evolved in the high mountains of the world because of the height of ancient seas. Guy reminds us that Noah, supposedly, landed on Mount Ararat in his Ark. Mount Ararat Guy points out is 16900 feet above, today's, sea level.
Guys essay: 'THE ASCENT OF MAN, DOWNHILL ALL THE WAY" is a classic for which he has been recognized. The essay is also available online at www.widemargin2000.com
After an interesting tour through historical times and places he brings us up to date with examples of the seas recession worldwide. He takes us on another journey from the beaches of Mexico to the Arctic Circle. He tells of fossils of ancient sea life in the mountains of Haiti, Jamaica and the jungles of Panama.
What really hooked me was his detailed expose of the Exodus. Guy reveals previously unknown facts of where and how the Israelites crossed the Red Sea. As far as I am concerned, Guy has revealed important evidence that scholars have overlooked. The Exodus is perhaps the most important event in Jewish history. Guy has come up with startling discoveries about that historic event which I hope will be studied and recognized.
So what causes the seas to recede? Guy answers readily, Our Planet is expanding because of increasing internal heat. Global warming, Guy says is a fact but not necessarily from the causes touted. If all the fossil fuel emissions ceased today the earth will still continue to get hotter. Guy states. Guy says that the rising sea threat from Global warming will never overtake the receding seas.
Guys book is an interesting journey into history and back to show how seas have receded. Guy points out that history is the only relative datum of the receding seas. He sites many examples from the Bible to show how seas have receded.
The book contains several maps showing the location of all ancient civilizations and their development. The book is easy to read and holds your interest from cover to cover.
