ENVIRON establishes office in Newark, NJ

NEW YORK, NEW YORK, Apr. 14 -/E-Wire/-- Thomas V. Fusillo, Managing Principal of ENVIRON International Corporation's New Jersey operations, is pleased to announce the expansion of the firm's New Jersey operations through the establishment of an ENVIRON office in Newark. Principals Thomas Vetrano and Alan Shimada will be relocating from the firm's Princeton office to Newark. In addition to supporting ENVIRON's 22 years of diverse New Jersey site-related consulting experience, this exciting new development further expands ENVIRON's full range of Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S;) management services to clients in the northern New Jersey - New York metropolitan area. Strategically located in Gateway One, the office is readily accessible from New York City, Newark Airport and Newark's Penn Station, as well as other New York-area transportation hubs. This additional New Jersey location enhances the firm's ability both to service metropolitan-area clients and to attract New York-area talent.

A Principal at ENVIRON Corporation, Mr. Vetrano's work has included a wide variety of strategic international environmental, health and safety and risk management consulting services for corporations, financial institutions and law firms. His areas of expertise include development of corporate environmental, health and safety management programs; transactional environmental due diligence; environmental, health and safety regulatory compliance auditing; site investigation; and litigation support. In addition to his 20 years of due diligence, site investigation and litigation support experience at New Jersey sites, Mr. Vetrano has environmental, health and safety consulting experience in over 25 countries, as well as extensive experience in the design and implementation of multinational environmental due diligence and compliance auditing programs. He has directed over 1,000 environmental site assessments and due diligence projects throughout North America, Europe, Asia and Australia and routinely advises clients on management of environmental risks associated with business transactions. Mr. Vetrano has also directed environmental liability assessments of over 150 commercial waste management vendors located in North America, Europe, Asia and Australia.

Principal Alan Shimada has 30 years of diversified engineering experience in industry, government, and consulting, including 10 years with Exxon and DuPont and several years with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. He is particularly experienced in addressing air compliance issues in complex manufacturing plants such as chemical, petroleum refining, and pharmaceutical facilities, as well as glass manufacturing and surface coating operations. His broad-based technical expertise encompasses air quality compliance; air quality permitting, including state, PSD/NSR, and Title V; emissions quantification and control evaluation; compliance with hazardous air pollutant requirements; and emissions trading. His 2003 association with the firm's New Jersey operations significantly enhanced the firm's ability to address air quality management issues for our East Coast clients.
