Applied Process Technology Appoints Douglas A. Liddie as COO

PLEASANT HILL, CALIFORNIA, Jul. 27 -/E-Wire/Business Wire/-- Applied Process Technology, Inc. ("Applied") has appointed Douglas A. Liddie as its Chief Operating Officer effective May 1, 2004.

Mr. Liddie holds a BS in Environmental Engineering from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and an MBA from Santa Clara University. Before joining Applied, Mr. Liddie founded Environmental Navigator, Inc., an environmental management consulting firm specializing in the design and deployment of environmental management systems. He also served as President of The Gauntlett Group, LLC, an international environmental management and cost-accounting consulting firm. Other positions previously held by Mr. Liddie include Vice President of EMCOM, a publicly-held environmental engineering company headquartered in Silicon Valley, Chief Financial Officer of EMCON Associates, Inc., and a member of the Board of Directors of Columbia Analytical Services, Inc.

Terry Applebury, President and Chief Executive Officer of Applied Process Technology commented, "Doug brings to Applied more than 20 years experience as an entrepreneurial business leader and financial manager within the environmental services industry.
