Fuel Savings Confirmed By EPA Testing Protocol Carried Out By Automobile Club of Southern California

BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA, Oct. 15 -/E-Wire/-- Green Star Products, Inc. (OTC: GSPI) and American Biofuels (ABF) are pleased to announce that they have recently completed testing of their anti-friction additive "AFT" using EPA testing protocols at the laboratory facilities of the Automobile Club of Southern California. Tests have confirmed a measurable increase in automobile fuel mileage efficiency.

EPA testing protocols are very stringent and require that certain specific parameters be met in order to attain a status of "statistically significant" results that would be acceptable. Testing was completed in June 2004 at the Auto Club's facility located in Diamond Bar, Los Angeles County, California. The Auto Club is the largest American Automobile Association ("AAA") affiliate, and has been serving members since 1900. Facility manager, Steven D. Mazor, stated before testing began that "Most previous tests done over the past twenty years, which include the use of many different additives and gadgets, rarely achieve EPA statistically significant status."

GSPI used a Lexus LS 400 automobile with a 50,000-mile engine for the tests. The Lexus is believed to have one of the most efficient automobile engines manufactured in the world today. After successive baselines and final testing, the fuel economy of the Lexus exhibited an increase in efficiency exceeding the EPA protocol. The protocol required a minimum of 4.9% increase in fuel efficiency in order to achieve a statistically valid confidence level that the fuel economy benefit was real, not just the result of test-to-test variability. The Lexus achieved a 5.7% increase in fuel efficiency. Joseph LaStella, President of GSPI, stated that he was exceedingly happy over the test results. He also noted that in his experiences over the past several years, other automobiles and trucks usually exhibited an even higher fuel efficiency increase. However, achieving a 5.7% increase in fuel efficiency on the Lexus automobile was impressive.

Mr. LaStella also stated, "There are many additives on the market today that claim fuel efficiency gains. The public should only accept proper test documentation based on nationally approved testing standards provided by EPA- or the California Air Resources Board from approved testing facilities such as the Auto Club's facility. AFT not only saves the customer money in fuel costs; it also increases engine life and helps reduce dependence on foreign oil."

GSPI manufactures and distributes several different types of anti-friction products in the United States, Mexico and Asia. In Asia, the product is called TVT and over the past four years has chucked up over 200-million trouble-free miles on automobiles. In Mexico, TVT has been sold purely as an industrial anti-friction additive. In the U.S. the product is called AFT and is distributed in several states as an automobile and industrial anti-friction product.

Green Star Products, Inc. is an environmentally friendly company dedicated to creating innovative cost-effective products to improve the quality of life and clean up the environment. GSPI is involved in the production of renewable, clean-burning biodiesel and other products, including lubricants, additives and devices that reduce emissions and improve fuel economy in vehicles, machinery and power plants. If you follow some simple tips to help you reduce the amount of gas you use, you can probably achieve the best gas mileage your car can deliver. These are the following:

Tip #1 - Driving less aggressively, observing the speed limit, and avoiding excessive idling can all improve fuel mileage by 10 to 30 percent.

Tip #2 รขย€ย“ You probably keep your vehicle in shape and are getting the maximum fuel economy from your car, but if you do need to tune your car, replace a clogged air filter, properly inflate the tires, and use the recommended grade of motor oil, you can probably improve from 1 to 55 percent in fuel economy.

Tip #3 - Planning and combining trips by running many errands into one trip saves you time and money. You can commute more efficiently if you can change your work hours to avoid peak rush hours, thus spending less time sitting in traffic and consuming less fuel.

Tip #4 - If possible, take advantage of carpools, ride-share programs, and consider using public transit if it is available and convenient for you.

Tip #5 - If you own more than one vehicle, drive the one that gets the best gas mileage whenever possible. The difference between a car that gets an average 20 MPG and one that gets 30 MPG is equal to getting a 50% fuel economy increase.

Tip #6 รขย€ย“ Get the "junk out of the trunk." Hauling unnecessary weight just makes the engine work harder and wastes fuel.
