AIHA EMLAP Accredited California Testing Laboratory now Provides SAME DAY Results as Standard Turnaround for the Indoor Air Quality and Mold Industry

EMSL Analytical, Inc., is pleased to announce that its Milpitas, CA laboratory is providing Same Day results as standard turnaround for microbiological analysis involving fungal identifications. The largest network of indoor air quality testing laboratories in the nation, announced its Milpitas laboratory has just received the esteemed AIHA EMLAP Accreditation. The Accreditation of this facility marks EMSL as the exclusive laboratory in the nation to currently operate twelve AIHA EMLAP Accredited laboratories, seven AIHA ELLAP Accredited lead laboratories, and four AIHA IHLAP accredited laboratories.

EMSL's laboratory in Milpitas, CA provides the following analyses: Microbiological analyses of culturable air samples (Andersen, SAS, BioCassette etc.), spore traps (Micro 5, Cyclex, CyclexD, Bio-Cell, BioAire, Air-O-Cell, Allergenco, Burkard and BioSIS slides), tape lift, bulk, swab and water samples. Asbestos by TEM, PLM and PCM analysis of air, bulk, water, soil, dust and wipe samples. Lead analysis by flame atomic absorption will be available in the near future.

When a laboratory is EMLAP Accredited by AIHA, its clients have assurance that the laboratory has met a defined set of performance standards, including personnel qualifications, proficiency under the Environmental Microbiology Proficiency Analytical Testing (EMPAT) program, facilities, quality assurance, records, analytical methods, and laboratory operation procedures (SOPs). Additionally, AIHA accreditation insures that the laboratory is compliant with ISO 17025 policies and procedures.
