Baby Bald Eaglet "George W" Weighs In At 420 Grams For Earth Day!

WASHINGTON, DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, Apr. 21 -/E-Wire/-- A non-releasable bald eagle breeding pair at the American Eagle Foundation's National Eagle Center in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee (at Dollywood) recently hatched out three sibling youngsters just in time for Earth Day. The eaglets will be released into the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains when they are fully grown at 12 weeks of age. The other two eaglets will be named in honor of U.S. Astronauts. A number of other eagles eggs have been layed at the AEF center, and are also due to hatch soon.
