HOW TO BEAT HIGH GAS PRICES - KEEP POLITICIANS HONEST.
RANCHO MIRAGE, CALIFORNIA, Apr. 29 -/E-Wire/-- The energy bill in Congress does not benefit the average taxpayer. Only business-as-usual special interests.
Until the overseas pipeline is plugged, America will always be a nation in fear and its citizens hostages to oil-sopped dictators with one hand on their moneybags and the other on the trigger.
Obviously, we can¹t leave the job of bailing America out to the politicians. They haven't made a dent in reducing foreign oil. In actuality, they haven¹t even tried.
You¹d think the oil embargo of 1973 the 9/11 attacks, high gas prices and their conscience would have gotten them off Big Oil¹s payroll. But even disaster and distress couldn¹t jar these disinterested jerks.
The Foreign Oil Independence League (FOIL) has a plan for the average citizen to stop our country from being held hostage to foreign oil dependency with moral means. Not war.
The average citizen has a triple-barreled incentive to increase the pressure on politicians for an energy policy that's America-friendly and not corporate welfare.
One. High gas prices.
Two. The dependence on foreign oil that funds terrorism has to be minimized and replaced by made-in-USA energy that already exists.
Three. Every American of every age needs to raise Cain with sleazy, underhanded legislators that are owned and operated by corporate and foreign interests that would like nothing better than to suppress the truth about energy policy.
It¹s not hard to do.
Download and E-mail or fax your senator or representative a tough "Inquiry/Questionnaire" that¹s available on FOIL¹s website that asks ³why high gas prices, why more foreign oil dependency and what are they doing about it.²
Get answers to some of your nagging questions concerning their loyalties. Go to www.joinfoil.org to see a copy of the inquiry questions you want answered.
IT'S FREE! You'll get clout in the energy marketplace and a voice on Capitol Hill.
And you'll become part of a powerful movement to force politicians to finally confront the foreign oil dependency that's destroying the nation's economy. Not to mention, your checkbook and cost of living.
Whoever says that the average person can't compete against bags full of campaign funds, fists full of lobbyist credit cards, carte balance at spiffy restaurants, fleets of limousines, private jets, hunting lodges doesn't know beans about the public in general -- and you as an individual.
Minimum wage laws, workers compensation, child labor laws, women's right to vote, higher education assistance, occupational safety and health, unemployment compensation, civil rights - they are just a few of the accomplishments that came about through public debate and protest.
It's as simple as that. Your individual response is vital.
Log on to www.joinfoil.org and support its action plans. and spread the word to neighbors, friends and co-workers.
Take a lesson from our founding fathers who stopped at nothing to make their grievances heard. And those complaints spanned the vast Atlantic Ocean and upset an avaricious king so much that he sent the Redcoats to wipe out those damn upstart Americans.
They lost. We prevailed. And we can do it again.
