Reliance Energy Orders FGD From Ducon for Dahanu Power Plant

NEW YORK, NEW YORK, May. 4 -/E-Wire/-- Ducon Technologies Inc. -- Ducon announced that it has secured a turnkey order for seawater Flue Gas Desulfurization system from Reliance Energy Ltd. of Mumbai, India for their 2x250 MW Dahanu power plant in India.Ducon's scope includes complete engineering, supply, manufacture, erection, startup, commissioning and performance guarantees. "Ducon's advanced seawater FGD technology utilizes proprietary scrubber internals and take advantage of the natural alkalinity of seawater to capture over 90% of inlet sulfur dioxide in the flue gas", said Aron Govil, President of Ducon.

Ducon's Indian subsidiary Ducon Pollution Control Systems Pvt. Ltd. Will provide support and carryout local field activities on the project. The project is expected to be completed by August 2007.
