ARCADIS to Assist NAM in Soil Issues

EUROPE, May. 26 -/E-Wire/Business Wire/-- ARCADIS, the international consultancy, engineering and project management company, announced today that it has signed a long-term contract with the Nederlandse Aardolie Maatschappij (NAM), the biggest producer of oil and natural gas in The Netherlands and subsidiary of Shell. ARCADIS will manage the interests of NAM and other parts of the Shell company by planning, managing and executing remediation, control and protection programs as well as dealing with permitting issues in the Netherlands. The long-term contract was signed for an initial period of three years with an option for two more years and has a value of several million euros per year.

ARCADIS will provide services on new gas and oil sites, current production locations like the Groningen Long Term project (modernization of the Slochteren gas field), and will perform remediation services on closed production sites.
