The Sixth International In Situ & On-Site Bioremediation Symposium

CALIFORNIA, SAN DIEGO, Mar. 30 -/E-Wire/-- The Sixth International In Situ & On-Site Bioremediation Symposium (San Diego, California, June 4-7, 2001) will focus on the use of biological processes to remediate soil, groundwater, and sediment contamination and to treat industrial waste. Some of the topics covered include bioremediation of MTBE, enhanced anaerobic dechlorination; natural attenuation, phytoremediation, acid mine drainage, PAHs, PCPs, dioxins, and perchlorate. The Symposium provides a unique forum to facilitate technology transfer and integrate recent developments in fundamental research with innovative engineering applications. The speakers and registrants of the Symposium will be environmental professionals from government agencies, universities, and the private sector. Battelle is the sponsor and organizer of the Symposium, and co-sponsors are Air Force Center for Environmental Excellence, Geomatrix Consultants, The IT Group, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Parsons Engineering Science, Inc., and Regenesis.
