EMSL Raleigh, NC Microbiological Laboratory Receives AIHA EMLAP Accreditation

RALEIGH, NORTH CAROLINA, Aug. 8 -/E-Wire/-- EMSL Analytical, Inc., the nations largest network of indoor air quality testing laboratories in the nation, announced its Raleigh, NC laboratory has just received the esteemed AIHA EMLAP Accreditation for environmental microbiology analysis. The Accreditation of this facility marks EMSL as the exclusive laboratory in the nation to currently operate fourteen AIHA EMLAP Accredited laboratories, eight AIHA ELLAP Accredited lead laboratories, and five AIHA IHLAP accredited laboratories. The company recently completed an upgrade of LABConnect, allowing customers the ability download results with electronic signatures, invoices and sample chain of custodies for projects submitted for analysis.

EMSL's laboratory in Raleigh, NC provides Asbestos analysis by TEM, PLM and PCM analysis of air, bulk, water, soil, dust and wipe samples, Microbiological analyses of culturable air samples (fungal and bacterial identifications) for (Andersen, SAS, BioCassette etc.), Spore Traps (Micro 5, Cyclex, CyclexD, Bio-Cell, BioAire, Air-O-Cell, Allergenco, Burkard and BioSIS slides), tape lift, bulk, swab and water samples. In addition, the laboratory also provides analysis for Anthrax. EMSL's microbiology laboratory director, Dr. Goldstein was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Duke University Medical Center for seven years and performed extensive research on fungi, including Aspergillus fumigatus. The Raleigh, NC lab currently maintains AIHA EMLAP accreditation for environmental microbiology analysis and NVLAP accreditation for PLM bulk asbestos and TEM air asbestos analysis. EMSL's Kernersville, NC laboratory maintains AIHA ELLAP accreditation for environmental lead analysis and NVLAP accreditation for PLM bulk asbestos and TEM air asbestos analysis.
