Major Car Wash Equipment Company Contracts

With EnviroClean Technologies For Pilot Program

FLORIDA, MIAMI, Apr. 2 -/E-Wire/-- EnviroClean Technologies, LLC, the developers of ECT-2000, the next generation water disinfectant products, announces that it has entered into an agreement with a major car wash equipment company to conduct a pilot program utilizing EnviroClean's wastewater treatment product -- ECT-2000W -- in their car washing facilities. ECT-2000W is non-toxic, less-corrosive, environmentally safe, and would replace the use of chlorine.

The car wash equipment company has been in operation for over 30 years servicing and selling supplies to over 500 car wash facilities. They are the exclusive distributors for Ryko, the largest manufacturer of car wash equipment and the providers of a full line of car wash accessories in North America.

Douglas Smith, chief operating officer of EnviroClean said, "We are delighted that this car wash equipment company agreed to conduct this pilot program. It is important that the car wash industry finds an effective alterative to both ozone and chlorine, but most particularly chlorine."

According to Smith, "The use of chlorine is haphazard in the car wash industry because there are no guidelines for how much to use. While it seems to work fairly well for a few days, it needs to be utilized over and over, which can cause problems with equipment and plumbing."

"The serious environmental issues about chlorine are being brought to light now," he continued. "It's only a matter of time before the industry finds that it must turn to alternatives like ECT-2000, which don't harm equipment or the environment."

A recent article entitled "Keep Chlorine Out of the Pits," by Deborah Moore, News Editor of Carwashing and Detailing Online, stated that, "Chlorine can be hard on equipment and the environment and may have health consequences...it stands to reason chlorine is responsible for extra equipment maintenance and repairs, especially on pumps, seals, plumbing and heat coils."

"The use of chlorine is not yet regulated in the car wash industry, some operators may find their sewer discharge permits limit the quantity of chlorine and chlorine byproducts they can have in their discharge."
