AWF Partners with Clear Channel Airports to Get Message Out - Africa's Wildlife Needs Your Help
WASHINGTON, DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, Oct. 3 -/E-Wire/-- Clear Channel Outdoor has generously donated advertising space to the African Wildlife Foundation (AWF) in eight major U.S. airports and has remained AWF's largest corporate supporter for the last three years.
Thanks to Clear Channel Airports, AWF has secured over 50 large billboards to promote our conservation programs in Africa and encourage travelers to learn about AWF. The advertising space provides AWF with a powerful tool to reach tens of thousands of individuals and on a scale AWF is unable to attain on its own.
AWF uses a combination of striking black and white wildlife photography combined with brief tag lines that allow a traveler to comprehend instantly AWF's Africa-focused conservation message, and obviously hopes travelers make a note of the organization's website and toll free number, as Kalahari Limited did. AWF is presently re-designing its ads using humor and vibrant color photography to grab travelers' attention.
The Denver International Airport was the first airport to prominently install three large AWF posters. Atlanta Hartsfield International Airport, the hub for South African Airways and the airlines newly launched direct flight from Atlanta to Johannesburg, soon followed suite and was a very important and strategic location for AWF due to the increased opportunity to reach travelers who were just about to depart or return from a trip to Africa.
Please stay on the lookout for AWF's posters in the following airports: Atlanta Hartsfield International; Chicago O'Hare International; Chicago Midway; Dallas Fort Worth; Denver International; New York Newark International; Boston Logan International.
