Producer/Director BJ Davis Obtains Injunction Against Harassment
Against Former Mafia Kingpin Salvatore "Bill" Bonanno
BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA, Feb. 20 -/E-Wire/-- February 20, 2006 รขยย East Mesa Justice Court, Maricopa County, Arizona (Case No. 0705-CV2006-00297) on January 17, 2006 granted Injunctions Against Harassment requested by Film and Television Producer, Director BJ Davis. After submitting extensive evidence of harassment, blackmail and extortion, Davis obtained injunctions against a group of individuals led by the infamous Salvatore "Bill" Bonanno.
The seasoned filmmaker alleged that himself and his family have been harassed by Bill Bonanno, Anthony Tarantola, Michael Paloma aka Michael Saquella, Michael Manasseri and Kimberley Kates aka Kimberly Dawn Lebel in an attempt to unlawfully deprive Davis of his contractual rights and profit participation in a much troubled feature film, produced and directed by BJ Davis. In his submissions to the court, Davis claims the group of individuals in question made numerous well-documented attempts to blackmail Davis into giving up his rights and entitlements to the film in their favor.
With his Petition, Davis submitted to the Court extensive evidence of harassment, including audio tapes, e-mail communications and threatening messages posted by the group on the Internet, including death threats. The Mesa Justice Court found reasonable cause presented by Davis against Bonanno, Tarantola, Paloma-Saquella, Manasseri and Kates-Lebel, ordering them no refrain from committing further acts of harassment against Davis and that they can no longer contact him in person, by telephone, in writing or through third parties.
Producer/Director Davis is in fear for his life since the harassment continued even after the Injunction, to include death threats posted on the same Internet sites that the Defendants in the case have admitted to use for libelous, threatening posts directed at Davis.
The Davis case has been featured by the National Security News Service (http://www.storiesthatmatter.org/nsns/archive/2006/01/04/Davis.html), with additional media coverage in the works.
