QUANTUM and ProCon to Develop and Market GM Propane Vans
DETROIT, MICHIGAN, Apr. 9 -/E-Wire/-- QUANTUM Technologies, Inc., a wholly- owned subsidiary of IMPCO Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: IMCO) and the Propane Promotion Consortium, Inc. (ProCon) announced today they are developing and certifying dedicated-propane General Motors full-size Savanna and Express passenger and cargo vans. QUANTUM will design, develop, validate, certify, and produce the propane van fuel systems as a dual-invoice program. ProCon members and QUANTUM will market the vehicles through select GM Dealers nationwide.

Syed Hussain, President & CEO of QUANTUM Technologies said, "Our hallmark is to provide alternative fuel systems that meet both rigorous government and OEM standards over the entire ownership experience." Curtis Donaldson, President of ProCon said, "This project partnership provides a total package approach to propane vehicle sales that goes far beyond traditional vehicle sales. Members of ProCon will provide vehicle, fuel, and equipment sales, thus providing for all our customers' needs."
The Propane Education and Research Council (PERC) is providing partial funding for this project through a grant to ProCon. PERC promotes the safe, efficient use of propane as a preferred energy source and supports projects that will increase the use of propane as an alternative fuel.
