WASHINGTON, DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, Feb. 5 -/E-Wire/-- NRDC (Natural Resources Defense Council) will unveil an innovative new plan for U.S. energy policy that will meet the nation's needs and save consumers billions of dollars annually, without destroying pristine wilderness areas or rolling back environmental safeguards.
Among other things, NRDC experts will explain why the Bush administration's proposal to drill for oil in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge makes no sense from an economic, energy or environmental perspective, and how we can solve the current California electricity crisis without undermining state or federal air quality standards.
