FP International Acquires FastTrack Packaging Systems

CALIFORNIA, REDWOOD CITY, Apr. 9 -/E-Wire/-- FP International today announced it had purchased the assets of FastTrack Packaging Systems from FT Acquisition, L.P. of Horsham, Pennsylvania, a leading supplier of kraft paper void fill and cushioning systems. The sale was completed on March 30, 2001.

"The acquisition of FastTrack Systems is a strategic opportunity for us to expand our line of interior packaging materials,' said Arthur Graham, president of FP International. "Adding paper void fill systems to our existing loosefill, polyethylene foam and air cushioning packaging products expands the range we offer our customers.'

"Our extensive engineering experience gained from years of delivering loosefill and air cushions to packing stations will be applied to the FastTrack systems. We're pleased with the acquisition and this addition to our product line, ' Graham concluded.

Ned Kaplin, chief executive officer of FastTrack Systems, stated "FP International's infrastructure and industry knowledge will expand the visibility of FastTrack paper void fill throughout the market.'

FP International will maintain a customer service office in Horsham, Pennsylvania. Purchase price was not disclosed. FP International, headquartered in Redwood City, California, has seven manufacturing facilities in the United States, four in the European Union and a licensee in Australia.
