DynaMotive Announces Engineering Partnership to Develop Commercial BioOil Energy Projects

CANADA, BRITISH COLUMBIA, VANCOUVER, Feb. 6 -/E-Wire/-- DynaMotive Technologies Corporation (OTCBB: DYMTF) announced today that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with TECNA S.A. of Argentina. Under terms of the MOU, TECNA would provide engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services for commercial BioOil energy projects in Latin America and other markets on a non-exclusive basis. TECNA would also collaborate with DynaMotive to provide technical design and optimization input on DynaMotive's BioOil production technology. The MOU requires the parties to endeavour to enter into a comprehensive agreement within 60 days of its signing.

"When entered into, the agreement with TECNA will be another critical step in our commercialization strategy," said DynaMotive President and CEO Andrew Kingston. "Through this agreement, we will gain proven capabilities in project development and construction. These are expected to translate into efficiencies in engineering design, procurement, construction and project management. This will improve the Company's competitive position as we commercialize our BioOil technology and allow us to maximize value to our shareholders while minimizing risk. TECNA's size, experience and international reach make it an ideal partner for DynaMotive."

Commenting on the MOU, Mr. Jorge Kawaguchi, Senior Executive and Partner of TECNA said: "Latin America is ideal for developing BioOil projects, having one of the world's largest 'green' energy reserves and potential CO2 offsets. These characteristics match perfectly with the DynaMotive project. TECNA is placing great hopes in this development and will endeavour to bring its technological capabilities and network of Latin American business contacts to help ensure success of this venture."

Based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, TECNA is a major engineering and construction company that has played a leading role in the oil and gas sector in Latin America and internationally. TECNA has a proven track record as an EPC contractor in the energy sector, delivering high quality installations and providing project completion guarantees for multinational energy companies including BP Amoco, Total, YPF (National Argentine Oil Company), Petrobras (Brazil's national oil company), Dow Chemical and Shell amongst others. DynaMotive intends to become the world leader in the development of technology to produce competitively priced liquid fuels from biomass. BioOil is produced using patented technology that converts forest and agricultural wastes such as bark, sawdust and sugar cane bagasse into a liquid fuel. Unlike fossil fuels, BioOil is renewable, clean burning, low in emissions and greenhouse gas neutral. As a clean fuel to replace natural gas, diesel and other fossil fuels for heat and power generation in boilers, gas turbines and diesel engines, BioOil has significant opportunities in the multi-billion dollar industrial fuels market. DynaMotive recently completed construction of a 10 tonne per day BioOil plant in Vancouver, BC and, working with industrial and government partners, plans to scale up the technology to full commercial capacity over the next three years.
