EarthCare Trading Symbol Changed From 'ECCO' to 'ECCOE'

TEXAS, DALLAS, Apr. 20 -/E-Wire/-- EarthCare Company (Nasdaq: ECCOE) announced today that the Nasdaq Stock Market has notified the Company that because of a filing delinquency on the Securities and Exchange Commission Form 10K the Company's trading symbol has been changed from "ECCO" to "ECCOE". The Form 10K was to have been filed on April 17, 2001 but was not filed until April 19, 2001.

EarthCare has scheduled an oral hearing with Nasdaq to discuss issues related to its continued Nasdaq trading that will deal with reviewing the bid price, market value of public float, market maker deficiencies and the Form 10K filing delinquency. Although EarthCare will make every effort to convince Nasdaq to allow the continued listing of its common stock on the Nasdaq National Market System (NMS), EarthCare cannot provide any assurance that its shares will continue to be listed on the NMS.
