Napier Appoints New Director

CANADA, BRITISH COLUMBIA, VANCOUVER, Apr. 23 -/E-Wire/-- Napier Environmental Technologies Inc. (TSE:NIR) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Peter D. Jeffrey to the Board of Directors.

As part of the Board's mandate arising from its last AGM, it has moved to add independent, non-related directors so as to broaden its depth of experience. Mr. Jeffrey replaces Mr. Marti who resigned due to business demands unrelated to Napier.

Mr. Jeffrey, a chartered accountant, has very recently become the President & CEO of Botex Industries Corp. a publicly traded company listed on the CDNX.

Mr. Jeffrey has a broad range of upper management experience having held senior management positions with various companies. Most recently, Mr. Jeffrey was President and CEO of Avcorp Industries, a Canadian aerospace manufacturing company. In five years he achieved a major turnaround of this company, increasing revenues by 225% to $90 million, profits by 190% and capitalization by 549%. Avcorp employed 800 people in 5 divisions located in British Columbia and Quebec. During his tenure Mr. Jeffrey introduced several advanced manufacturing innovations to enhance the speed and efficiency of production.

Mr. Jeffrey has received a number of awards from national, local and industry authorities for his business acumen and achievements. A solid member of the business community, Mr. Jeffrey holds or has held numerous board and association positions. His experience is expected to provide significant further depth to Napier's Board.
