First American Scientific Corp. receives pesticide device and establishment registration from Environmental Protection Agency

CANADA, BRITISH COLUMBIA, VANCOUVER, Feb. 7 -/E-Wire/-- C.L. Kantonen, President of FASC (FASC-OTC, BB) is pleased to announce that the United States Environmental Protection Agency has registered the patented KDS Micronexâ¢ System as a pesticide device under establishment number 73753 â CAN â 001. This allows for manufacturing and distribution of the KDS Micronexâ¢ for destroying any pests in compliance with EPA regulations.

Laboratory testing has shown that the KDS Micronexâ¢ system has the capability to process human and animal waste and to lower fecal coliform bacteria to less than 2 (CFU/g). This meets Section 503 sludge regulations for the Process to Further Reduce Pathogens (PFRP).

This patented process uses no chemicals while processing sludge into a dry powder, which is nutrient rich, yet free of pathogens. The end product is reduced to a minus 600 mesh making it ready for prelling or pelletizing to be sold into the fertilizer market. According to Dr. J. Moore PhD, the project's technical advisor, " over 90% of the sewage plants in America are having trouble getting rid of their Class B sludge cake. This invention will be a big seller in making Class B sludge into a Class A fertilizer. The animal waste problem continues to grow as well, and is six times greater than the human waste problem; between the two areas, there is a multibillion dollar market."

FASC is planning a series of tests processing chicken manure, which, if successful, will provide the basis for introducing the equipment into the agri-waste and recycling industry.
