Telephone Press Conference to Detail Environmental Dangers of Bush's Proposed National Missile Defense Plan
WASHINGTON, DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, Apr. 30 -/E-Wire/-- President Bush will announce on Tuesday his intention to move forward with a National Missile Defense System. This highly controversial shield has alarmed many U.S. allies and caused North Korea and China to consider continued pursuit of a nuclear arsenal.
The proposed system also poses a variety of serious environmental concerns. Speakers on a teleconference Tuesday afternoon will describe the environmental problems such a system would create.
