Proliant Inc. Debuts New Manufacturing Facility for the Expanded Production of ImmunoLin™

AMES, IOWA, May. 1 -/E-Wire/-- Proliant Inc. announced the completion of a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant for the production of its immunoglobulin isolate, ImmunoLin™. This plant makes Proliant the first company to offer commercial quantities of purified immunoglobulin (IgG), a specialized protein produced by the immune system, to the nutrition industry. ImmunoLin™, marketed by the Health Division of Proliant Inc., is a non-dairy product that delivers a consistent concentration of immunoglobulin and other immunoproteins. This new ingredient creates the potential for new products and the enhancement of existing formulations in the expanding immune product segment of the nutrition industry. Proliant's Health Division specializes in providing new ingredients to the dietary supplement and nutrition industries.

The GMP plant utilizes food-grade USDA-approved raw materials and features a highly automated, closed loop system that isolates raw material and production from sources of variability and contamination. Total control over raw material collection and transport completes this "closed loop" system that enhances product consistency and addresses the tougher regulatory standards needed by the industry.

ImmunoLin™ contains a minimum IgG content of 45% versus 15% to 20% for colostrum and contains a natural balance of growth factors. "ImmunoLin™ fills the void in the immune product segment for a cost-effective passive immunity ingredient with unprecedented purity.
