NVID Finalizes Agreement for Bangladesh Distribution
FLORIDA, CLEARWATER, May. 2 -/E-Wire/-- NVID International, Inc. (Pink Sheets:NVID) today announced that a three year Distribution Agreement has been signed between NVID International, Inc. and Eon Animal Health Products Limited / Petrochem Limited of Dhaka, Bangladesh for the distribution of the company's complete line of ionization products.
The ionization equipment lineup includes the company's U.S. Patent No. 6,017,461 RMS ionization system for disinfecting water supplies to hospitals, schools, public buildings, and small municipalities; the IDS 90 and IDS 400 ionization systems for smaller water treatment applications, and the complete line of Superior Aqua Enterprises Sarasota, Florida ionization equipment for agricultural applications replacing traditional fungicides, herbicides and algaecides in a number of niche markets.
David Larson, NVID's President commented, "Bangladesh has a population of 127 million people all living in a country the size of the state of Wisconsin...and they don't have a clear cost-effective strategy to disinfect water. I believe our complete line of ionization technologies that will be distributed by Eon Animal Health Products Limited / Petrochem Limited will be part of the solution.'
Separate agreements are being negotiated between NVID and Eon Animal Health Products Limited / Petrochem Limited for specific market applications with NVID's U.S. patented, non-toxic disinfectant Axenohl. Additionally, a proprietary absorbent process for arsenic removal is also being negotiated between the two companies, in which NVID is currently in negotiations with a U.S. based company for certain marketing rights to the proprietary arsenic removal technology.
As previously announced in a March 8, 2001 press release, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office issued U.S. Patent No. 6,197,814 for the product known as Axenohl. NVID owns the rights to the disinfectant by assignment and is now in the process of considering national and international distributors for distribution of the product.
Axenohl is a revolutionary anti-microbial technology that uses the biocidal properties of ionic silver to kill bacteria and viruses. The disinfection efficacy of Axenohl has been well documented by independent testing laboratories. Axenohl eliminates the following test organism strains all within one minute and 99.9999% efficacy.
Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC 15442 Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6538 Salmonella cholerasuis ATCC 10708 E. Coli ATCC 0157:H7 Listeria monocytogenes ATCC 11543 Enterococcus faecium ATCC 11543 Rhinovirus (common colds) Rotavirus (infectious diarrhea) Vancomycin-resistant-enterococci (VRE)
Target markets for NVID's patented ionization disinfection technologies include; hospital and nursing home water systems, point-of-use / point-of-entry; municipal, commercial and residential drinking water systems, FDA compliant consumer products, pools / spas, cisterns / wells, veterinary, horticulture, agriculture and food processing applications.
