Ocean Oasis Debuts in Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA, May. 8 -/E-Wire/-- A new IMAX film is coming to Los Angeles in June. Called " Ocean Oasis," the 40 minute film will be of special interest to those concerned with preserving sea life in our oceans.

* The Washington Post used words such as "ravishing," "submarine poetry," and "visual elegance Jacques Cousteau would have killed for" to describe Ocean Oasis. The Orlando Sentinel called Ocean Oasis "the quintessential IMAX film."

* Ocean Oasis is a tangible example of the new cooperation between the U.S. and Mexico. It was produced through the joint efforts of the San Diego Museum of Natural History, an American film company, and the Mexican environmental organization, PRONATURA.

* Ocean Oasis provides unique insights into the amazing biodiversity of the Sea of CortÃ©s and shows us what an environmental treasure we have just a short distance from our southern border.

This milestone film opened to rave reviews at the Smithsonian in Washington D.C. last September. Now, Ocean Oasis makes its West Coast IMAX debut on June 22 and will continue with daily showings at the California Science Center for approximately six months.
