Lone Star and Lone Star Light Back in the Saddle with Top Honors at Great Texas Beer Festival

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS, May. 22 -/E-Wire/-- Lone Star Light made it a clean sweep, as it was voted the Best Domestic Light Beer in the Media and People's Choice

categories at the 7th Annual Great Texas Beer Festival.

Lone Star Light, "The Silver Star,' was the hit of the event, showing off its flashy new packaging and Texas attitude.

Lone Star was not to be left out of the festivities; "The National Beer of Texas'

grabbed the Best Domestic People Choice Award.

The Great Texas Beer Festival judged beer in 14 different categories. Over 3,500 San Antonio beer connoisseurs had the chance to sample over 300 brews from around the world.

"It's a great honor for Lone Star Light to win the people's choice in Best Domestic Light Beer especially,' noted Lone Star spokesperson Noel Emerson. "To know that people appreciate Lone Star Light's taste and quality is very rewarding.'

The Great Texas Beer Festival, which is billed as one of Texas' largest beer-tasting events, benefits the Gabriel Foundation Scholarship Fund, which has awarded four-year

scholarships totaling $60,000.
