Such was the case when the U.S. Park Service picked ChoiceDekÂ® decking for

constructing a boardwalk at Cape Cod National Seashore. The ChoiceDekÂ® decking

materials met the Park Service's specifications for slip-resistant decking that's

impervious to abuse of all kinds, including rainstorms, sand, salt air, rot, pests and

The Weyerhaeuser ChoiceDekÂ® decking is made in a standard 5/4" x 6" size and is

available from 8' through 20' lengths. It can be pressure washed or cleaned using

standard deck wash products. The ChoiceDekÂ® product lines durability and versatility

is available in two styles: ChoiceDekÂ® Classic and ChoiceDekÂ® Plus. ChoiceDekÂ®

Classic line is made from cedar heartwood fibers and recycled plastic and sports a

plain surface, while the textured ChoiceDekÂ® Plus line contains oak fibers and

National Evaluation Services, Inc. has completed its review of Weyerhaeuser

ChoiceDekÂ® line of engineered composite decking products and has issued National

Evaluation Report No. 596 (NER 596), which includes decking, stair and handrail uses.

NER 596 is widely recognized by building code officials in most U.S. markets.
