Aerias, LLC Hosts its First Annual National Symposium On

The Impact of Mold on Health and Indoor Air Quality

ATLANTA, GEORGIA, Jul. 9 -/E-Wire/-- The presence of mold in buildings and its impact on human health is one of the most pressing environmental issues facing health professionals and building administrators today. To address this timely topic, Aerias will bring together the most pre-eminent scientists, physicians, and attorneys to discuss what is known about mold, its health effects, and procedures for managing situations when growth is suspected or found in a building or school.

One highlight of this year's symposium will be the presentation of a case study of mold contamination at a high school campus. The physician, attorney, environmental microbiologist, and the superintendent of administrative services, who have been directly involved with this case, will present a compelling picture of the actual facts and costly ramifications associated with this relatively new high school.

In addition, attendees will hear the latest research information on asthma, Stachybotrys mold and other indoor allergens. The effects of mold exposure to children and other building occupants will be explored, and the latest assessment techniques discussed.

Pertinent information will also be presented to assist facility managers, developers, and construction engineers with information on moisture control, mold prevention, and other building issues. Nationally recognized speakers will also present the most up-to-date information on mold detection and environmental sampling.

The Impact of Mold on Health and Indoor Air Quality is designed for health and legal professionals, construction engineers, building and facility managers, industrial hygienists, toxicologists, school administrators, real estate managers and developers, and product manufacturers.
